There is nothing we love more than an evening in the garden with a chilled glass of wine and dinner rustled up from the bounty of seasonal vegetables and fruits. As the summer night begin to draw in we spoke with our favorite food creator & chef Bella Carter @spinnaker.events who shared her al fresco favorites, perfect for a bank holiday get together.

'In late August, after the mayhem of summer parties and weddings we take off as a family to spend the bank holiday weekend by the sea. There is nothing better than seeing a glut at the end of someone’s driveway with an honesty box or else raiding granny’s vegetable patch and skimming off all the best raspberries.

Here are a few of our tried and tested summery recipes.
Serve with some sort of dip (minty garlic yoghurt, lemon aioli or my favourite, romesco - roasted red peppers blended with toasted almonds, garlic, Sherry vinegar and smoked paprika)

Perfect as a nibble or as a starter.
Whip 300 ml cream and spoon on the cooled meringues. Top with blackberries, figs and raspberries (you can cook these slightly with a little tablespoon of water and sugar to give a little sauce to spoon over the top) and scatter with some chopped pistachios. Delicious! '
